Please make sure your fuel tanks are regularly maintained.

This includes such things as:
Checking for leaks
Ensuring the tank is level
Labeling the tank with the correct product ie Diesel, Unleaded or Premium Unleaded
Writing the correct owner’s name on the tank if multiple entities are at the one location
Venting tanks correctly
Checking that the hoses and nozzles are in good working order
Keeping the area around the tanks clear and easily accessible
Inspecting the tank stand and making sure it is in good condition with no badly bent legs or braces
Regularly draining and cleaning the tanks by removing the bung at lowest point
Installing a bottom fill kit and sight tube

Bottom Fill Kits
“Working at Heights” legislation is now a prominent issue and we would like to take this opportunity to remind our customers about their obligations.

The most obvious exposure to risk on your property is the bulk fuel tank. The climbing of any tank, by yourselves or our drivers, could create a huge liability risk, if injury occurs while at an unsafe height. It is in your
best interest to ensure that all the tanks you own comply with the new standards.

To do this, all overhead tanks must be fitted with bottom fill. Bottom fill kits are cheap and easy to install. If you require any further advice please contact our office.
